About

The path that brought me here, how I work, and what I do when I am not working.

How I got here

I was born in Verona in 1986. I wrote my first program at eight, on my father's computer; he programmed for the love of it. I went on to a course of study in computing.

I really came to professional development later than most, by a roundabout route. In 2022 I started a full stack development master with start2impact and finished it in January 2023. A few months later I joined Trueblue as a Software Engineer: TypeScript and Node.js on CRM, plus maintenance of legacy JavaScript and C# code. For a year, once the master was done, I was also the lead of start2impact's Web & App study group, helping the new students.

Since January 2025 I have been a Cloud Solution Architect at the same company. I work on Azure in regulated settings, where compliance constraints enter the design from the start.

Alongside that I work on integrating language models and agents, both inside products and in the workflows we use to build them. Part of that work carries on at home, in my personal homelab.

How I work

I analyse every configuration, new or pre-existing, drawing on the power of AI.

I apply it all with scripts or IaC code, so whatever repeats gets automated. And a rollback is always a few seconds away.

I always start from least privilege and widen when needed. That holds for AI agents too: where they operate on their own, their permissions are read-only.

I document decisions and the numbers behind them, including the roads not taken.

Out of Office

I listen to a lot of music, across genres that have little in common: I was a DJ for almost fifteen years in the clubs around my area. I read, mostly personal growth and psychology, with some good fiction now and then. I go jogging and do yoga early in the morning. I love good food and good wine, shared with the people I care about. And lately I have taken up home bread-making.

At home I run a homelab: self-hosted services, automations, and the personal projects that live on it. It is where I try things out before using them in earnest.
